New Inter-City Transport Service

A new high-speed logical ring from AFS provides direct fiber optic links between the thriving, high-traffic markets of Las Vegas and Reno, Nev., Salt Lake City, Utah, and Boise, Idaho. Multiple gigE wave circuits, OC48 rings, and IP optimization services form the basis for the ring, which provides long-haul interconnectivity for businesses whose locations need to share large amounts of sensitive data.

Service Configurations

• POP-to- POP. Provides inter-city transport between two AFS POPs.
• POP-to-Premise. Inter-city transport between an AFS POP in one city and your location in the second city.
• Premise-to-Premise. Inter-city transport between your locations, one in each of two cities.

• TDM transport for DS-1, DS-3 and OC3: Point-to-Point, Route Protected & Port Protected
• EPL Transport for 10 Mb and 100 Mb: Service includes Route Protection
• EVPL Transport for 10 Mb and 100 Mb
• Pop-to-Premise & Premise-to-Premise only
• Point-to-Point and Route Protection
• Port Protection for EPL and EVPL is ICB
