Success at RSA Conference USA 2008This year marks Arcot's eighth year exhibiting at RSA Conference USA. We survived the busy week at Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif., demonstrating our most-recent technology integrations and talking with many of the 10,000-plus people who visited the exhibition hall. Live demosRSA attendees had a chance to learn about our new A-OK™ On-Demand multi-factor authentication service. We demonstrated how Arcot A-OK On-Demand eliminates the risks of stolen passwords for Google Apps™ Premier Edition users and Salesforce.com users. With on-demand authentication, Arcot A-OK On-Demand offers anytime, anywhere access with a familiar username/password interface, but adds the protection of multi-factor authentication. We also announced Arcot's service as an OpenID identity provider. Jim Reno, Arcot chief technology officer, demonstrated the simplicity of using ArcotID as single digital identity with the strength of Arcot A-OK On-Demand multi-factor authentication. (See "Arcot Offers OpenID" for more information about this announcement.) Renowned expertsThere was standing room only in Booth 1045 as renowned Internet security expert Taher Elgamal illustrated steps to ensure identity and data protection through layered authentication solutions. Following his presentation, Taher proceeded to autograph Arcot T-shirts, using his digital signature algorithm. His presentations and presence were a top hit at our booth. Brian Schussler, Arcot product manager, explained to another full-house audience why now is the time for organizations to move to fully electronic processing of specific business processes. Schussler also discussed how to solve the related business challenge in a secure and cost-efficient manner by using Arcot's digital signing technology. Adobe representatives discussed the addition of multi-factor authentication to media-rich Adobe® AIR™ Web applications. The Adobe AIR runtime lets developers use proven Web technologies to build rich Internet applications that deploy to desktops and run across operating systems. Strong relationshipsFor the second year running, our VIP dinner was well-attended by some of the country's largest names in finance, pharmaceuticals and technology. Adding extra place settings was no problem for TWO, one of San Francisco's most well-established restaurants. Visit us next year at RSA Conference 2009 in San Francisco, April 20–24, 2009, in Booth #939. |
