CSA Designation Earns Prestigious NCCA Accreditation

The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA — the same organization that accredited the Certified Hospice and Palliative Licensed Nurse, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT), Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (GNP) and dozens more — has fully accredited the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)© designation. The CSA designation is the only one of its kind to be accredited by NCCA. This is a major accomplishment for the designation and the professionals who earn it.

The NCCA was created in 1987 by the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) to help ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the public through the accreditation of a variety of certification programs that assess professional competence. Certification programs that receive NCCA accreditation demonstrate compliance with the NCCA's Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs, which were the first standards for professional certification programs developed by the industry.

In notifying SCSA of its decision to accredit the CSA designation, NCCA said, "The NCCA appreciates the continued interest of SCSA in providing high-quality certification programs."
