Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Uses Next-Gen ServicesTime Warner Telecom Inc. will provide next-generation Ethernet-based data and native storage transport services to Wheaton Franciscan Health Care of Milwaukee. “Time Warner Telecom stood head and shoulders above the competitors,” said Larry Griffith, director of Technology Options with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Milwaukee. “We explained our requirements and they worked with us, our HP SAN provider, and our Brocade switch vendor technicians to develop a scalable, reliable and survivable system design. In all my 23 years in this business, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a vendor nail down the design details even before the contract was signed.” Click here (PDF) to read the full press release. Time Warner Telecom has also announced a multi-year contract for its Integrated Local Area Network, converged voice and data service to 45 Tire Discounters’ stores in Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati as well as locations in Kentucky and Indiana. The company provides full sales and service support for customers’ tire needs across all three states through its retail locations. “At one time, we had a minimum of eight different vendors providing voice and data services to our stores,” said Nate Guy, IT director of for Tire Discounters in Cincinnati. “The Time Warner Telecom team was able to consolidate everything onto their network and eliminate the hassles we had managing so many different contracts and vendors. This is particularly helpful to us considering the 20 additional locations we plan to open in the next couple of years. All I have to do is place one call to get them on line.” Click here (PDF) to read the full press release. |
