Gains Instant, Secure Access to Patient Records with Time Warner Telecom's
IP VPN Service
Time Warner Telecom Inc. (NASDAQ: TWTC), a leading provider of managed voice
and data networking solutions for businesses, today announced the successful
deployment of IP VPN and Ethernet Internet Services (EIS) for Piedmont Hematology
and Oncology Associates in Winston-Salem. Piedmont Hematology-Oncology is
a provider of diagnostics and treatment for blood and cancer patients.
"This deployment of IP VPN is vital to our goal of serving patients

connections between all our eight locations. This secure connectivity from

to physicians instantly. In the past, it could take staff sometimes up to
2 hours to locate and deliver a patient's paper medical record to the doctor.
Many times these medical records, which can be very large, needed to be physically
transported to our other locations, now these same records are available
when and where they are needed."
