AANS Success for US SpineBy Phillip McCurdy The 75th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neurosurgical Surgeons was held recently at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. It was fitting that a city with such history and home to monuments honoring great American achievements, should serve as a backdrop for US Spine to showcase its' products and spotlight the Facet Fixation System. On Sunday, prior to the start of the exhibition hall opening on Monday, US Spine held a Product Fair and Facet Training course for agents and distributors. This course was a tremendous success due to the hard work that was contributed by all the US Spine personnel, but special recognition should be given to Kelli Cawley and Deanna Ally. During the Product Fair, the agents were divided into 6 groups and rotated amongst six stations where they got hands on experience with instruments and implants. This was followed by Facet Training with The Facet Guns' inventor, Dr. Mark Falahee. This invaluable training better prepares our sales force to attack US Spine's competition with the latest information and resources. The exhibit hall opened on Monday morning to an enthusiastic group of neurosurgeons intent on learning about the latest technologies and techniques to bring back to their practices. The US Spine exhibit experienced tremendous traffic immediately and more sales leads were taken the first few hours then in previous AANS meetings combined. The US Spine staff manning the booth felt like "a fishing boat with everyone hooked on to a big fish all at the same time." In many instances, surgeons came to the booth based on hearing about the Facet Gun from a colleague. All of US Spine's products were displayed but the focus was squarely on The Facet Gun. Several stations were set up to allow the surgeons to get their hands on the training models of the Facet Gun and understand the various applications where it could be utilized. Throughout the three day exhibition a record number of leads were taken. Many surgeons signed-up for the on-line training and were inquiring about involvement in the Alpha release of the product, which is currently under way. By all accounts, the 75th meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons was a tremendous success for US Spine. |
