Facet Fixation System BETA Rollout

The upper tier of the US Spine NASS Exhibit Booth was a notable venue to launch faculty led training of surgeons participating in the Facet Fixation System BETA Market Rollout. Surgeon-attendees were trained in the Facet Gun technique, with guidance from Drs. Sledge, Cobb, Falahee, Lins and Weller rotating through the workstations during the hands-on sessions. These surgeons have helped to hone the curriculum for training on the system, and have provided invaluable insight, ensuring that our training program is ready for prime time.

One hundred surgeons, based throughout the US, have been selected to participate in the BETA Rollout based upon their commitment to facet fixation technology, clinical use and expedited hospital approval.  Knowing the importance of science-based results, we expect the majority of these surgeons to participate in the nationwide Facet Fixation System Data Registry. In anticipation of launching the BETA market rollout in January, surgeon training continues and national training courses are scheduled in 2008. The goal to complete sixty Facet Fixation System surgical cases will be readily met in the 1st quarter of 2008, providing the clinical experience and results for a National Launch in the 2nd quarter of 2008.
