National Facet Gun Release

US Spine™ is pleased to announce the National Release of the Facet Fixation System™, beginning May 1, 2008. The system is now available for use in surgery by trained physicians throughout the United States.

Facet GunKey differences from the Beta version are the simplified Driver, Revised Depth Gauge, the addition of an optional Drill for pre-drilling a pilot hole, and revised Trigger ergonomics. This final version of the Facet Gun™ was used at the US Spine Booth during the AANS meeting in Chicago.

The System is currently offered in a single Steam Autoclaveable tray configuration, with Sterile-packaged units hitting the shelves in late summer 2008. Each tray is set up to cover a one-level case, with three Handpieces, three Drivers, one Ratchet, one Drill, one Implant Caddy (four of each Bolt size, extra Proximal and Distal Washers, and one Speed Loader) and one Bolt Remover tool. See images below for the layouts.

Layouts

As during the Alpha and Beta release stages, the Facet Guns are single-use only, and should not be re-used. They can be discarded at the hospital, or returned to US Spine for proper disposal.

Like any US Spine implant system, these can be ordered in advance of any scheduled surgery by contacting Richard Trivett in Distribution Services at (561) 367-7463, extension 1009.
